HITMAKER KIDS
ENROLLMENT & PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

 

This Enrollment & Participation Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Hitmaker Kids (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the enrolling Parent or Legal Guardian (“Parent”).

By confirming enrollment, you acknowledge that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the participating student.

  • You have authority to enter into this Agreement.

  • You agree to all participation expectations outlined below.

  • You agree to the separate Finance Policy & Payment Agreement.

 

This Agreement governs student participation in the Hitmaker Kids program.

2. ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM

 

Enrollment is offered only to students who have successfully completed the audition and placement process.

 

Acceptance is confirmed once:

  • The student has been formally offered a place, and

  • The required payment has been received in accordance with the Finance Policy.

 

3. PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Hitmaker Kids is an 8-week, one-on-one online songwriting program for students ages 10–16.

 

Each enrolled student receives:

  • Eight (8) live one-on-one Zoom sessions

  • Personalized songwriting instruction

  • Structured creative development

  • A professionally produced backing track of their original song

  • A certificate of completion

 

The program is educational in nature and does not constitute professional artist training or representation.

 

4. ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT

 

Because sessions are one-on-one and reserved exclusively for each student, attendance and consistency are essential.

 

Students are expected to:

  • Attend all sessions on time

  • Participate actively and respectfully

  • Complete weekly creative assignments

 
Rescheduling

Sessions may be rescheduled only:

  • With at least 48 hours’ notice

  • Up to a maximum of two (2) reschedules per student

 

Missed sessions outside of this policy are forfeited and are not automatically credited.

 

5. TIME ZONE

 

All sessions operate on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

 

Parents are responsible for:

  • Converting the scheduled time accurately to their local time zone

  • Ensuring timely attendance

 

Missed sessions due to time zone errors are treated as missed sessions.

 

6. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Students must have access to:

  • A laptop or desktop computer

  • Stable internet connection

  • Working camera and microphone (required for all sessions)

  • Zoom installed

  • A smartphone with a voice memo or recording app

 

Parents are responsible for ensuring equipment is tested and functioning before sessions begin.

 

Technical issues on the student’s side do not automatically qualify for session credits or refunds.

 

7. PARENT RESPONSIBILITY

 

Parents/Guardians agree to:

  • Supervise and support their child’s participation

  • Provide a quiet, appropriate learning environment

  • Monitor communication and assignment completion

  • Maintain accurate contact information

 

Hitmaker Kids is not responsible for student conduct outside of scheduled sessions.

 

8. STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Participation in Hitmaker Kids requires adherence to the Hitmaker Kids Student Code of Conduct, which is published separately and incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

By enrolling, the Parent agrees:

  • To review the Student Code of Conduct with their child

  • To ensure the student complies with all behavioral expectations

  • That violations of the Student Code of Conduct may result in termination of enrollment without refund

  • Students are expected to conduct themselves respectfully at all times during sessions and related program activities.

 

Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior

  • Harassment or disrespect

  • Sharing session links

  • Recording sessions without written permission

 

Hitmaker Kids reserves the right to terminate participation without refund for serious misconduct or repeated violations of the Student Code of Conduct.

 

9. CREATIVE WORK & BACKING TRACKS

 

Students retain ownership of their original lyrics and compositions.

 

Students are responsible for submitting original creative work. By enrolling, the Parent represents and warrants that all lyrics, melodies, and creative materials submitted by the student are the student’s own original work and do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Hitmaker Kids is not responsible for independently verifying the originality of student submissions and shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, losses, or disputes arising from materials submitted by the student that infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights.

The Parent agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hitmaker Kids from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from allegations that student-submitted materials infringe upon the rights of any third party.

Hitmaker Kids is granted a limited, internal-use license to review and provide feedback on submitted materials.

No student work, name, or likeness will be shared publicly without a separate signed Media Release Agreement.

 

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a professionally produced backing track of their original song. Students do not record official vocals as part of the program.

10. PROPRIETARY MATERIALS & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

All curriculum, lesson materials, worksheets, frameworks, session structures, teaching methods, production templates, backing track arrangements, branding, and program content provided by Hitmaker Kids (collectively, “Program Materials”) are the exclusive intellectual property of Hitmaker Kids.

Program Materials are provided solely for the enrolled student’s personal educational use.

Parents and students may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or share materials

  • Record sessions without written permission

  • Publish or post materials online

  • Use materials to create or teach a competing program

  • Modify or commercially exploit any portion of the Program Materials

 

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of proprietary materials may result in immediate termination of enrollment and potential legal action.

Student ownership of their original lyrics and compositions does not transfer ownership of Hitmaker Kids’ curriculum, production methods, or instructional content.

 

11. PROGRAM BOUNDARIES

 

Hitmaker Kids is an independent educational program.

Participation does not guarantee:

  • Recording contracts

  • Entertainment industry access

  • Professional representation

  • Career outcomes

 

The focus of the program is creative development and songwriting education.

 

12. TERMINATION

 

Enrollment may be terminated by Hitmaker Kids in cases of:

  • Non-payment

  • Serious misconduct

  • Repeated policy violations

  • Safety concerns

 

Termination does not relieve financial obligations under the Finance Policy.

 

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hitmaker Kids shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or incidental damages

  • Technical disruptions

  • Dissatisfaction with creative outcomes

 

Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the Parent’s discretion.

 

14. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

 

By completing enrollment, the Parent confirms that they:

  • Have read this Agreement in full

  • Understand the participation expectations

  • Agree to comply with all policies

  • Accept the terms of the Finance Policy

  • Have reviewed and agree to the Student Code of Conduct on behalf of their child
