General Questions
What is Hitmaker Kids?
Hitmaker Kids is a K-Pop songwriting academy for children aged 10–15. Students work one-on-one with a professional songwriter to create their own original K-Pop song. At the end of the program, they receive a fully produced backing track of their song.

Who can join Hitmaker Kids?

Any child aged 10–15 with a passion for music and creativity may apply. Students must meet our audition criteria to join the program, ensuring they’re a good fit for the one-on-one K-Pop songwriting experience. No prior experience is required—just enthusiasm, creativity, and a love for K-Pop!

How do auditions work?
When you apply, your child will submit a short audition form or sample (for example, a short video, vocal clip, or creative exercise). This helps our team assess interest, motivation, and creative potential. Successful applicants are then offered a spot in the program.

How long is the program?
The program runs for 8 weeks, with one-on-one weekly sessions. Each student completes a full songwriting project and receives a professional backing track of their song.

Is the program offered only once a year?

No. Hitmaker Kids runs multiple program intakes throughout the year. Each intake has a limited number of 12 places. If an intake is full, students who have already auditioned may be considered for the next available intake, subject to suitability and availability.

Is Hitmaker Kids affiliated with any K-Pop entertainment company or idol group?
No. Hitmaker Kids is an independent educational program. We are not affiliated with any entertainment companies, K-Pop agencies, or idol groups. Our focus is solely on helping children aged 10–15 develop their songwriting skills and creativity in a safe, supportive environment.

Will completing Hitmaker Kids make my child a K-Pop idol or give them access to famous artists?

No. Completing the program does not guarantee a career in K-Pop, nor opportunities to meet celebrities. Hitmaker Kids is an educational program focused on songwriting, creativity, and music skills. Our goal is to help students build confidence, learn the craft, and create their own songs, not to launch a professional K-Pop career.
Curriculum & Learning
What will my child learn?
Students learn:
-
Songwriting fundamentals and K-Pop song structure
-
Melody and lyric creation
-
Vocal performance tips (without recording)
-
Creative problem-solving and musical collaboration
-
Music production basics

Will my child create a full song?

Yes! Each student writes an original K-Pop song and receives a professionally produced backing track of it.

Is the program suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. One-on-one sessions allow instructors to tailor lessons to each child’s skill level and learning pace.

Are the lessons live or pre-recorded?
All lessons are live, one-on-one sessions via Zoom, providing personalized guidance and real-time feedback.

Will my child have homework?
Yes. After each one-on-one session, students receive a short creative assignment to complete before the next week. These weekly tasks build step by step toward their final song and help reinforce what was covered in the session. Homework is designed to be age-appropriate, creative, and manageable — not overwhelming — and is an essential part of the learning experience.

Can my child continue learning after the 8 weeks?

Yes. Students who want to develop further can join advanced courses or extended programs.

Classes & Safety
Who teaches the classes?
Nicole, the founder of Hitmaker Kids.

Is the program safe for children?

Safety is our top priority. One-on-one sessions are conducted on secure online platforms, and all interactions are monitored.

How do you handle privacy and data protection?

We take privacy seriously. Personal information is used only for program administration. By submitting an application, parents consent to us contacting the guardian/parent if needed.

Logistics & Technical
What technology does my child need?
Students need:
-
A computer or tablet with internet access
-
A headset or microphone
-
Optional: a piano or keyboard

Are there any recording software requirements?

No recording software is needed. We will produce the final performance-ready backing track as part of the program.

How long is each session?

Sessions are one-on-one and last approximately 45–60 minutes.

Can my child miss a session?

Because sessions are one-on-one and reserved exclusively for each student, consistent attendance is expected.

Sessions may only be rescheduled if:
-
Cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance (maximum of 2 reschedules per student), or
-
The absence is due to a documented medical emergency.
All other missed sessions are considered forfeited.

Is a deposit required to book a spot?

Yes. A $300 deposit is required to reserve your child's spot, which is applied toward the total program cost.

How soon must payment be completed after acceptance?

Payment (deposit or full payment) must be made within 48 hours of acceptance, or the spot will be offered to another student.

Payments can be made via our payment portal on the website.

Are spots limited?

Yes. Each spot is exclusive, and students commit to the full 8-week program.

Refunds & Cancellations

No. The program is non-refundable except in the case of a documented medical emergency.

What happens if a student withdraws halfway through?

Full payment is still required because the spot was reserved exclusively and could not be offered to another student.

Can missed sessions be made up?

Because sessions are one-on-one and spots are reserved exclusively for each student, missed sessions are not automatically made up.

-
If a session is missed due to a documented medical emergency, a make-up session may be offered at our discretion.
-
If a session is missed without medical documentation, families may request an additional make-up session for a fee of $150, subject to availability.

Is any part of the course non-refundable for administrative reasons?
Yes. The entire program is non-refundable, and students are expected to complete the full 8-week course.

Does completing the program give my child a certificate or recognition?
